Defying all odds, Marshall “Major” Taylor became a cycling legend and one of the first superstars of the sport, setting numerous world records and winning a World Championship and multiple national championships--all while battling racism throughout his career from the late 1800s to early 1900s. He was an international superstar whose superhuman exploits were as well-known in his era as LeBron James or Michael Jordan are today.
