The viability of both XFL and USFL will come down to live-game viewership and advertising dollars for the networks and cost controls by the organizers: The Rock and Disney against Fox Sports and Tom Brady lol.

That said, the fate of both leagues hinges on what their undisclosed internal success metrics look like and the patience of network executives to allow the properties to grow before pulling the plug.
