Brazilian football legend Pele has been moved to the end-of-life-care after becoming unresponsive to chemotherapy as he battles cancer on Saturday. According to reports, the 82-year-old's chemotherapy had been halted with the focus now shifting to relieving his pain and preventing shortness of breath. The 3-time World Cup winner has been receiving treatment for colon cancer after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor in September 2021. Following the news of his hospitalization on Thursday, footballers and supporters around the world poured their 'get well soon' messages across social media. In Qatar, buildings lit up with messages of quick recovery to the former Brazilian forward with a drawn display being conducted in his honor. Ahead of Brazil's final World Cup group match against Cameroon on Friday, fans held a banner paying tribute to the hailing legend. Pele made 95 appearances for Brazil and scored 77 times between 1957 and 1971 before retiring from club football in October 1977.
