America's MMA and amateur wrestler Ben Askren competed in the 74 kg weight category at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Askren won his first fight against István Veréb from Hungary to the score of 0-2, 4-0. In his round of 8 match, he lost to Cuba's Iván Fundora 1–3, 0–4.
